Something a little bit different...

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I always like to design and create something a little bit different...something that is not quite the 'norm'...just a little bit unique. So here is my latest creative offering...

I created this silk and lace bouquet a few weeks ago for an amazing photo shoot with some equally amazing suppliers...look out for photos soon!! So many brides now are looking for a slightly more alternative bouquet...and the beauty of this one is that it can be kept forever! I love all the little brooch and button details...let me know what you think!

I hope you like it!

And it was all yellow...

Ever since Hannah & Ali's gorgeous boho style wedding last year, I have become such a big fan of yellow! I found myself avoiding it for such a long time but now it just screams "BUY ME!!" I think it is such a punchy, fun and welcoming character and I am so happy that my lovely brides agree. I have a few weddings coming up this spring with a beautiful yellow palette...I can't wait! So for this weekend's Wedding Open Day at The Carriage Hall I took my new friend 'yellow' along and created these...

I love this bouquet of roses, freesias, lisianthus and stephanotis...and it smelled divine!

A wreath around a lovely hurricane vase was gorgeous for a fresh, spring wedding!

And here's the rest of my stand!

So I hope that you have warmed up to yellow too...look out for some lovely weddings coming soon!

Gemma & Joel...a Tuscany inspired engagement shoot...

This has to be one of my favourite photo shoots so far! Working with the amazing Jade Alana is always such a treat and her photos are absolutely stunning! Gemma and Joel are such a beautiful couple and completely worked their gorgeousness despite the freezing conditions...it felt like -50 that day!! They live in Dubai so a little different to temperatures that they are used to! They are getting married this summer at Stancliffe Hall in Matlock so we used this as a backdrop for the shoot. Gemma & Joel both love travel and one of their favourite destinations is Tuscany, so I styled the shoot based on the amazing landscape, food and drink of the region! The courtyard area at Stancliffe Hall was the perfect location...

I raided my garden for trailing ivy and created a curtain of lace and ivy to frame the table settings...

Aren't they just stunning???!

Lots of lovely lavender, olive oil, miniature conifers, ciabatta, grapes and of course wine!!

Love this final shot...it perfectly captures their beautiful love!
